Feedback from Karen and Jennifer

I'm so happy to receive Karen and Jennifer's comments on my website. Your comments will make me more motivated and work harder. After hearing 4 classmates' opinions, I realised that some shortcomings from my project. For example, my instructions was not clear enough, too many moving objects and not enough clues in crossword activity and so on. Thanks to Billo, Zahran, Karen and Jennifer. All of your feedback gave me some ideas to write my rationale and reflecion essay.

However, I'm looking forward to hearing more comments on my project.

Feedback from Billo and Zahran

Thanks to Billo and Zahran's comments on my product. I like both negative and positive feedback. Their opinions were given me some insights into what I can improve my product and how I can write the rationale. I'm planning to divided my paper into 5 parts. They are introduction, review of the literature (recent CALL articles, still searching), context (HK EFL students/foreign students), rationale and conclusion. Writing a 1500 word assey is not a problem but how to organise well your content is the main point, from my point of view. Just want to share some ideas to all of you. BTW, I didn't hear from Debra and I'm waiting for her suggestions.

I'm looking forward to receiving more feedback from my dear friends and classmates. I realize that you are really busy writing assignments at the moment, maybe you don't have time to say something about it. I totally understand! Good Luck to everybody!

My Website

I finished my website. Welcome to pay a visit and give me some comments. I really appreciate your comments. I think there is room for further improvement in my product! Thanks for your help!

This Website is designed for 10 to 13 years old EFL students but could be used by older students. Students should become more interested in exploring Hong Kong through this inquiry-oriented activity.

Set a time-limit

This week I'm still in a holiday mood! The pressure of four assignments forced me to do something. They must be finished by October. What I can do??? I must hurry, I don't have much time to lose. Ideally I have to set a time-limit for the completion of these assignments as fast as possible. The next step ....... no idea !! ....... Could you please give me suggestions?

Mid-Autumn Festival Or Moon Festival

We had a BBQ party at Southbank today in order to gather together and celebrate the Moon Festival. Today's weather was great. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed lots of nice food. Tomorrow will be the Moon Festival. It is one of the most popular Chinese holidays. The moon is at its brightest, roundest state in the year and it takes on a reddish glow on this day. Don't forget to watch the moon tomorrow and the day after. Next year, we'll go back to our countries and therefore we shall treasure the memory of our meetings. Please have a look - our slide show. The quality of the photos is not good enough but we don't mind it.
Finally, I wish all of you will have a relaxing Mid-Semester Break! See you next week!

Riverfestival and Fireworks

Last night Oscar invited us to have dinner together. We could watch the fireworks from his unit. We took some pictures and enjoyed yummy Japanese food very much!

Today, I have to carry on doing the WebQuest assignment. I've designed three pages. I often forget to save the information, it takes time to do it again. Using of dreamweaver is not a problem but some technical problems need to be fixed. Hopefully I can finish this assignment as soon as possible.

WebQuest

Regarding WebQuest, I'm still thinking about the topic. It's so hard to design a program that students interested in using the designed information to learn rather than to look at it.

However, I will try to write a concept map at first.
I think concept mind is an effective technique allowing me to organise my ideas.

Hopefully I have some ideas to come to the 2nd workshop.

Useful Link

http://www.atomiclearning.co.uk/

Highly recommended by Debra.
Just have a quick look, it is a very useful site. It provides a good overview of the newest software, I think. It should be informative for learners if you have time. And I will try to use the tutorials session . However, some tutorials are boring and in a very slow pace.
